Give Me Vanity

Using my Wet n Wild Vanity palette, I created this very simple and neutral look paired with a bold orange lip. A mix of a red orange and bright orange lipstick created a muted down orange that not over the top.

My Silent Treatment

When I bought the Wet n Wild palette in Silent Treatment, I have not put it down. I have wore this look for a couple of days now and it looks absolutely gorgeous in the daytime. It is absolutely simple with just using all the colors in the palette and with a pop of color on the lips. This pink lipstick is my absolute fav. and is very moisturizing, MAC Milan Mode. Milan Mode is a Lustre with glitter but the glitter is not overbearing at all. I hope you all enjoy.

Wet n Wild

I went Wet n Wild crazy at Rite Aid this week for their BOGO sale. It wasn't the sale that made me go crazy but it was the fact that there was new products that came out. If you are familiar with the holiday collection last year, then you will already know these products but it looks like they are now part of the permanent line. These eyeshadows are super pigmented and super soft. My I'm Getting Sunburned palette broke once I got home, so be careful.

Also Wet n Wild came out with new pencil liners which are called Shimmer Eye Pencils and glitters which are called Mega Sparkle Confetti. The liners are super pigmented and soft.

LeFemme Blushes

I can not even explain how long I wanted to try out these blushes. I have heard wonderful things about them from fellow bloggers and also youtubers. First, I want to tell you the cons of purchasing these blushes from MakeupMania. The processing time to process your order is kind of ridiculous, it takes over a week and then they do not send you a email to notify you of the products that are currently out of stock. After growing impatient, I called the company to find out what was really going on and was notified that a lot of the blushes I purchased was out of stock. The company was waiting to get a new shipment in but even after the new shipment, I am still out of two blushes. Its okay to be out of stock but not to be notified of what is really going on is not okay, you literally have to call the company to find out. The good thing out of this situation is that, when the blushes are back in stock, they will send them to me free of charge (meaning that I don't have to pay for shipping). I ordered on April 20th and received my package on May 9th, just to explain the wait time.

Now onto the wonderful blushes, which speak for themselves. They are THEBOMB.COM LOL! Highly pigmented, incredibly smooth, and CHEAP. These blushes were $2.50 each, no there isn't a typo. For the price and the quality, they are BETTER than MAC. I have two MAC blushes and the pigmentation is better than the ones I already have. You can quote me on that. lol

The pictures does not do these blushes justice. To be warned, the shimmery ones are soft. When I was swatching them I didn't realize that and digged into two of the blushes by mistake. lol The matte ones needed a little more pressure because they are matte. I also purchased a empty 12 blush palette from another company called Aveyou. The palette cost $14.00 but the shipping is $5.00. The package came really quick and they threw in some sample products, coupons and a Aveyou bag. Aveyou is a really good company. Now here are the pictures.....

Revlon Siren Lipstick

I have been eyeing this lipstick for a while but every time I go to my local drugstore, it's sold out. This time I happened to go to RiteAid and it was in stock. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Siren is a vibrant orange that has a red undertone and is also a creme finish. Compared to my other orange lipsticks, it isn't as orange as I hoped it would be. When I applied it straight onto my lips, the color didn't quite transfer, which indicated that my lip pigmentation was too dark for the lipstick. But the next time I apply it, I figured I would just mute out my lip color with a little bit of concealer and then apply the lipstick. I hope that works, if not I will have to give it to my sister.

Quick Simple Look

Ever since I purchased the UD e/s in Gash and Jones I have worn them everyday together or by themselves. Today wasn't any different. The night before I was supposed to go out but ended up staying home and this is the same exact look that I created. I loved it so much that I decided to wear it during the day. You can wear it during the day or at night. For the night though, you can darken the crease with a little bit of black or a darker brown for those who don't like to work with the color black.

Products Loved vs. Products Hated

In the month of April, I have purchased alot of products either hair or makeup. With some products you must try them out a couple of times before you can actually commit to it and some you will completely love it. The items that I absolutely dislike and will be either given away or thrown in the garbage include:

Sonia Kashuk Dripping in Diamonds 8-pc. Cosmetic Brush Set: These brushes are described as a selection of versatile, superior-quality brushes in a posh compact case which includes a blush/powder brush, an eye shadow brush, an angled eye shadow brush and a lash/brow comb. It also comes in a slim, stunning black case with clear jeweled accents.

Don't get me wrong, the actual reason why I bought this set was for the bag. The bag is the best thing out of this set. The brushes are HORRIBLE! The bristles are all over the place even after washing them and they are too flimsy. Also one of the brushes is too hard. I would give the brushes away and just keep the bag.

Wet n Wild H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner in Black: Long-lasting, water-proof formula, with a felt tip brush for easy application.

I love the formula but the applicator is incredibly stiff, which makes it difficult for application.

MAC Prolongwear Foundation in NW45: As described on the MAC website. A long-wear foundation that gives up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition. Lightweight and creamy, applies smoothly to provide sheer to medium coverage.
Even in hot and humid conditions, controls oil to keep skin fresh, natural and flawless. Provides everyday SPF protection.

I initial reaction to this foundation was that it says what I actually does. Its flawless, lasts up to 15 hours, and is lightweight but also gives you phenomenal coverage. The only downside that about this foundation is that it broke me out BAD! I stopped using it but I began using my other foundation which you will see later.

The Products that are LOVED include:

Lustrasilk Tea Tree Cholesterol Intensive Therapy Hair Treatment: A special "dry scalp" formula that is enhanced with the Natural Healing Properties of Tea Tree Oil, Vitamin E, and 5 Essential Oils (Rosehips Extract, Soybean Oil, Safflower Oil, Peanut Oil, and Mineral Oil).

I left the conditioner in my hair after washing it for 45 mins -1 hour long. It left my hair feeling extra soft and manageable.

MAC Studio Tech Foundation in NW45: As described on the MAC website. A tri-system blend of water, emollients and powder. Looks solid, glides on as a soft, creamy emulsion. Provides a natural matte, powder-perfect finish.
Smooth to blend, easy to work with: provides a full range of coverage. Water-cooled - refreshes and hydrates skin. Light diffusing: softens lines, creates a fresh, flawless finish. Good on all skin types. Studio Tech is dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, non-acnegenic and safe for contact lens wearers.

Studio Tech gives a flawless finish to your skin but the only reason why I changed my foundation to the Prolongwear was b/c I have oily skin and preferred a liquid over a cream. But to make this foundation work and the reason why I love it soooo much is that I just needed a good face primer to prevent my face from getting oily throughout the day.

Black Opal Cover and Clear Concealer: 2-in-1-creme formula has been formulated in shades that complement your skin tone to smoothly cover blemishes as it simultaneously helps heal them with Salicylic Acid, an acne-fighting ingredient. For blemish-prone skin. Helps treat frequent breakouts.

I don't use this concealer for my blemishes, I only use it as a undereye concealer.

Urban Decay E/S in Gash and Jones: Gash can be described as a shimmery cranberry color and Jones is a Coppery-orange color. Both are easily bendable and highly pigmented colors. Here is a picture of both colors.

Spring Trend

Bold Prints
The Spring has begun and if you have been paying attention, you would notice that bold prints are in. If its with the shoes or Maxi dresses, they are coming in prints and COLOR. When picking out one of these items, beware of the bright colors if you are not used to wearing those type of things. The bright colors such as greens, blues, oranges, yellow, nudes, whites, and pinks are in and don't be afraid to wear these colors ladies.

I have come across a shoe that absolutely adore and most certainly will purchase. They have both the bold colors and also the bold print to match. They are from Aldo for $90.

Ladies step out your comfort zone and try new things this season, because I will. : )

Hautelook Haul

Don't sleep on Hautelook, they have some amazing deals. This time I wanted to try something from a brand that I have never heard from before, Jane Cosmetics. Jane Cosmetics is 100% "cruelty free"

These shadows are silky and not chalky at all. I used the Baja Tones palette today and they are easily bendable, as well as pigmented. As for the Sandstorm palette, the shadows are a little bit too close to my skin tone but with the right base, they will do just fine.

New Obsession: Glitter

I have been loving the recent looks of Nicki Minaj over the past couple of months and now I have gotten my hands on the NYX Candy Glitter Liner in Aqua ($2.99) and also their Glitter Mania in Silver and Blue ($1.99). I purchased them at my local beauty supply store. The glitter liner contains fine blue glitter with green reflex in it. The liner is not hard to apply and once the clear glue drys the glitter will remain in place. The Glitter Mania also contains fine glitter which I prefer. I was also fortunate enough to purchase MAC 3D Copper and Crystalled Lime Glitter. The MAC glitters are more finely grained than the NYX glitters which was expected.
